This non-profit food bank serves all of Lane County Oregon. This sustainable building incorporates 30,000 SF of warehouse / storage space, 8,000 SF of office space, an elevator, concrete pan deck mezzanine for heavy storage and a full commercial kitchen.
It is a concrete tilt-up building with pre-engineered steel framing, and was designed to incorporate daylighting. It utilizes natural ventilation and night flush cooling. Air conditioning is only utilized in the commercial kitchen.
Special engineering was required for the offset column framing on the clerestory windows, provided by the metal building fabricator.
