Essex has been a successful and forward looking construction company since 1987. Jon Texter, a life long carpenter with a college degree from Texas Tech realized that there was more to a construction company then boards and concrete. He assembled a talented and committed group of professionals who shared his vision of a construction company with integrity and a belief in innovation and sustainable construction.
These qualities and values are evident at all levels of the company. The office staff performs many of the administrative functions required to assist the core mission of building. From cost accounting to the estimating of projects to the presentation of the closeout documents we perform our tasks with purpose, a friendly demeanor, and passion. There is very little turnover in staff because we value our relationship with each other, our construction partners and our clients. WE like to work here and we like what we do.
Each project is handled by a Project Manager with an average of 20+years of field and administrative experience. We take a holistic approach to the construction process and consider planning, construction, operations and beyond during the building process. This wealth of knowledge and experience goes far in making our projects proceed with a minimum of rework, delays and cost over runs.
