As any construction project starts, Essex
designs a flexible safety plan that can
change along with the project phases. We have a standing Safety Committee, staffed
by the Safety Director, an office staff person and two people from the
field. The Safety Committee meets monthly to review the
effectiveness of the Essex safety program and any new OSHA rules or
standards. |
|
On the job sites, the crew meets weekly for a
"Tool Box" talk about particular safety concerns on that job,
that day. We also work together with OSHA, inviting them to our job
sites for consultations in order to make sure we're on the right track.
Safety is the
"way of life" at Essex. It reduces risk and cost to the project
team but also fosters the "team" concept that Essex strives for
on every level.

This
is the catwalk over the brewery, custom-made for this restaurant and
brew pub. Essex complies with all OSHA directives and more, to ensure
the safety of all the workers and visitors to the construction sites.
