Essex is
involved in the scheduling process from the day we are hired. Input
begins during the design phase and continues through the construction
phase using the Critical Path Methods and Milestone Scheduling.
Since Essex is responsible for scheduling design phase activities as
well as construction activities, all of the team members (the
Architect/Engineer, Owner and General Contractor) will participate in the
development of the overall project schedule. In this way, all team
members agree on the project's game-plan, thus ensuring a well-coordinated
project.
The work consisted of a remodel and addition to the former Jackson Motors building at 6th & Charnelton. The project required the entire
demolition of the interior of the existing structure, construction of
2,200 sq. ft. of new restaurant space, installation and coordination of a full-service kitchen, micro-brewery, and a sound & lighting stage,
which included a full music venue and an additional bar.
